New year, new start, new you ..well.. that was what I said to myself at the beginning of 2017. This year I wanted to develop myself, not only in my healthy routines but also in reading and extending my mindset.
Back when I was a younger girl I’ve never really been into reading books. I tried a few books, but I realised that I am a big fan of advisers.
Books are so essential for a good advancement, and reading books will change your mindset if you read the right ones. In 2016, I read Allen Carr’s book “How to quit smoking”. And guess what? This book made me quit smoking. Of course, I bought it because I already planned to quit smoking, but I think if I wouldn’t have read this book the thought wouldn’t have manifest in my mind that much and I would have probably started smoking a few weeks later.

I love reading fashion and beauty blogs and one day I stumbled across a blog post which gave the advice in reading this book. It’s called the Body Book by Cameron Diaz. I did a little research on the internet, and I found a lot of positive reviews on this one, so I decided to purchase it and start reading it. And it was an excellent decision. I purchased it off of Amazon and immediately start reading it when it arrived.
This book is written very interestedly and makes you continue reading it just because of it’s writing style. This is not a diet book or an advisor. It is a book for your body. Cameron writes about why I should want to live a healthy lifestyle.
When I started reading it, I also begun to look more after what I eat and to care more about my body. But you can eat as healthy as you want and it will only be the 70 % of the importance to get healthy so if you want to give your body what it deserves you have to move it.
Even if it’s only 1-2 times a week, but you have to move your body regularly. Sitting all the time is not a natural movement, and it’s not natural for your body if you do that all the time. Same for an animal and also same to us. You have to live your whole life in your body, and you have the same body as a 1-year old then you have as a 70-year-old, so you really should make sure that you treat it healthy and take care of it.
This book made me realise so many things about my health and body, and it was such a great investment. I added it into my morning routine on the weekend and on a weekday I had read it before I went to bed. If you have been a person, who has been on diets before and quit after a few weeks of motivation and only exercised in phases like I used to then this book is made for you.
